Dear Parents/Guardians,
September is here and that means that summer is wrapping up and hopefully that means cooler
weather is upon us. I hope that everyone has had a wonderful summer and enjoys these few weeks before fall
officially starts. As the cool weather creeps in we remind parents that it is time to bring in a jacket for those cool
mornings.
This month we will be covering the season of fall. In addition to this overall theme, we will be working
on identifying our shapes, our colors, our alphabet, our months of the year, our days of the week, and counting.
We will also be practicing writing our names! Starting this month, we will be focusing on a letter a week,
starting with the letter A.
For the upcoming school year, we will be going to the Cuba Library and continuing our classroom jobs!
We will be continuing our current schedule posted on the door! The kids will be continuing music and rhythm
on Mondays, our theme activities on Tuesdays, sign language on Wednesdays, sensory activities on
Thursdays, and Spanish on Fridays! We go out to our garden every day! We currently have a lot of radishes
and three watermelons growing! Our cucumber plants have many blooms, so we hope to start getting some
cucumbers soon too!
We will be going to the Heartland Farms pumpkin patch again this year! We do not currently have a
date established for the trip, as the pumpkin patch doesn’t open until midway through the month! As soon as
we know, we will send out a permission slip!
