Hello parents and welcome to another month here in the classroom. I hope everyone is doing well, and
had a great time throughout summer, even if it is coming to an end. As summer transitions into autumn, the
weather will eventually become cooler. Please make sure your infant is dressed correctly for the daily
temperature. We want to make sure that the babies stay happy and comfortable throughout their days here.
Since Autumn and cooler weather is approaching, I want to advise all the parents to watch their infants
for any sickness related symptoms. Our goal is to keep the babies in the classroom as healthy as possible, so
we just want the parents and teachers to work together, to avoid any sickness from spreading. If an illness
starts in the classroom, we will inform all the parents so they can keep an eye out, and we will be deep
cleaning and sanitizing everything to avoid it from spreading. So, if your infant comes down with something,
please keep them home and away from the other babies here, until their symptoms go away, or until cleared
by a doctor.
Important: Monday September 1nd the center will be closed for Labor Day.
Since summer is coming to end, we will start introducing new activities for the babies depending on
their age range. We are going to work with the infants to accomplish new things that are appropriate for their
ages. Since the ages by months vary here, not all the infants will be doing the same things. Some of them will
be doing activities that will help with their core muscles so that they can sit up, others will do things for rolling
over, crawling, or standing up. If you want to ask which activities we are working on with your child so you can
do them at home as well, feel free to reach out any time.
With the weather, humidity, and sun changing, depending on all these factors on a day-to-day basis, we
would still like to take walks with the infants to get them a change of scenery. The babies truly do love it
when we do this, and it helps with them growing tired of the same thing inside the classroom. If you want a
specific insect repellent applied to your infant, you must provide it. If there is any other moisturizer or
sunscreen you might want your infant to use, this must be provided as well.
Once again, with the weather changing, please make sure your infant has appropriate clothing in their
bin. Please remember to check your infant’s daily gram in case they might need anything, and so that they are
always stocked. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please feel free to contact Ms. Meghan or
Ms. Teresa, thank you!
